Shin Pond Village is a 100-acre family-owned and operated recreational resort located in the heart of northern Maine's Katahdin Region. We offer 7 campsites (4 of which are on the brook), 25 water/electric RV sites, 8 housekeeping cottages, 3 guest suites, and also 3 waterfront homes on Lower Shin Pond.

The Main Building at our Shin Pond campground offers a General Store, Gift Shop, Restaurant, and Bar. Regular and non-ethanol gas is available. We also have Wi-Fi and an ATM on site. These conveniences are open 7:30 am-8 pm or 9 pm (depending on the season).

So Much to Do

If you love the outdoors, you'll love it here. Northern Maine has many hiking spots, such as Baxter State Park and Mount Katahdin.


You can also enjoy the numerous ATV and snowmobiling trails as well as canoeing and kayaking in the surrounding lakes.

This is a great place to relax but still enjoy the outdoors. Baxter State Park and the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument are less than 30 miles away. One can also climb Mount Chase or swim at the beach at nearby Shin Pond.

Amazing campground! The staff is exceptional. They have a restaurant on site and a quaint convenience store. The campsites are very large and well kept. The bath house on the property is clean and well maintained. We will be back and the next time, it will be a cabin.
